Back Road is a folk/soft rock ballad with easy listening charm, built on finger style guitar riffs and rich vocals with vibrato and grace notes. It carries that timeless “us against the world” feeling - stripped down, heartfelt, and honest.

At it's core, this song tells our story. After just six months of dating, we got engaged and packed up Ken's pick up truck to start a new adventure in Quebec. The only French we learned was, "je ne parle pas français," but that's a story for a different song. Back Road is about two people who fall in love and chase their dreams together, even when the world seems to be rooting against them. It is a true and vulnerable reflection of who we are.

The lyrics paint picturesque images of the countryside, giving you a sense of wanderlust, and the grounding comfort of being with the one you love. Introspective yet hopeful, this song is for anyone who loves stripped-down music and a good love story.

As the last single before our debut album, Back Road is a snapshot of the beginning of our journey: two dreamers figuring it all out. It’s a beautiful milestone to share before we take our next big step.

Nuclear Vibes 2023 summer single 'Oh No' is dedicated to domestic abuse survivors as it celebrates cutting off a toxic relationship. During it's release, the duo raised $550 for a local women's shelter.
